About Us

The purpose of Animationsforbundet is to bring together everyone working within the animation industry and thereby strengthen the Danish animation sector, both nationally and internationally.

We are dedicated to protecting and managing our members' copyright interests, both economic and artistic. As a member of Animationsforbundet, you become part of a network of professionals who share a passion for animation and possess extensive knowledge of all the processes behind it.

On 1 January 2002, an administrative agreement was entered into between the Danish Film Directors Association and the Animation Association (ANIS).

From that point onward, Head of Secretariat Sandra Piras and the Chair jointly represent the association.

On 28 April 2026, the association's General Assembly approved a resolution enabling Animationsforbundet to also operate as a trade union. Animationsforbundet is affiliated with Serviceforbundet, and all trade union members are now represented by the association in matters relating to employment law, collective agreements, and workplace health and safety.
